Bangalore, a famous Indian city also known as the IT City of the country, has a lot of migrant people living there. Some came here for career opportunities, some for studies. The city has a great reputation in terms of all amenities. But is it safe to travel around the city during late-night hours? Is Bangalore safe at night or not?

An anonymous person posted some horrible experiences online on March 12, 2023. As per him, one of the areas in Bangalore, namely Majestic, has rouges and thugs roaming here and there during the nighttime. The autorickshaw drivers are not trustworthy. They will steal your money and might bully you unnecessarily. The bus travel agents can also commit fraud during night travel. So, you need to be careful.
A taxi driver abused a man when he was returning from Kempegowda Airport. The taxi driver picked up the passenger but refused to drop him at the desired destination. The driver locked the passenger inside the cab and demanded money. He verbally abused the passenger and threatened to beat him. The passenger saved himself by paying the driver the money. He went to the police later in but they were also of no help. This incident is a direct proof of the safety issues in Bangalore.
A 21-year-old girl was kidnapped by her distant cousin, who lives in Bangalore. The incident happened on August 23. When the girl was returning home from college, she was kidnapped by that relative. He took cell phone and every document from that girl, held her captive and sexually abused her multiple times. An FIR has been filled against the accused with the following charges - 342 (wrongful detention), Sections 328 (poisoning), 376 (rape) and 506 (criminal intimidation).
Audugodi police recently arrested 4 persons for robbery and kidnapping. Someone named Javed was kidnapped from the Mico Layout signal, Bangalore. The kidnappers demanded 1 lakh rupees to set the victim free. Later robbed 10 thousand the victim and released him. The victim lodged an FIR, but the case is still not closed.
Drugs worth rupees 12 lakhs were seized, and a marijuana peddler was arrested by Bangaluru Police on September 20, 2023. During a raid by Vivekanagar Police, the drug peddler was found with 20 kg of drugs. The accused is a resident of Koramangala, and he used to sell narcotic substances in Vivekanagar and nearby localities.
